Be a part of the Photo Team

The Photo Team is an integral part to the success of the UP Yearbook.  The endeavor to photograph and preserve the many images around our railroad is a monumental task.

Whether you have a digital camera or not you can be a part of the photo team.

There are several ways you can help. *

Digital Camera Users If you have a digital camera take pictures of your fellow employee, managers, yard or unique situation or area and send them to photos@upyearbook.com Pictures taken in medium to low resolution are best as the larger the files are the more server space they take up and take longer to download. Please be sure to have each photo identified with last name, first name and if you would also add the circ7 that would be great. i.e. smith, mike - ux426.jpg

Disposable Camera Disposable cameras are great, they are inexpensive and travel well. If you would like to use your own disposable camera simply take all the pictures, being sure to document who/what each picture is and them simply send the entire camera to us. We will take care of the photo processing but cannot return prints or negatives.

35 mm Cameras If you use a regular film camera you too can help. Using your own film, take as many pictures as you like remembering to document who/what each picture is, then when you are finished simply sent the used roll to us. We will take care of the photo processing but cannot return prints or negatives.

UP Yearbook at this time does not have the financial resources to reimburse for cameras, film or postage but will assume the photo processing costs if the processing is done by us. If you would like to develop your own film and also submit your photos to UP Yearbook, you are certainly welcome to do so. If you develop your own film, we request that any photos submitted to UP Yearbook be on CD. When ordering your prints from your local photo mat, simply request, in addition to the prints, your pictures on CD,  then send that CD or copy to us.

Please send any mail to:

Thanks for being a part of the UP Yearbook.

* Note: All photos/cameras submitted will become the property of UP Yearbook and cannot be returned. UP Yearbook will not reimburse for any costs including but not limited to the purchase of cameras, film, personal photo development, postage, etc. It is assumed that by your submission of photos or film for development to UP Yearbook that you have the rights to said photos and submit them without any expectation of compensation. UP Yearbook will not compensate any individual/institution for displaying any image or likeness either on the UP Yearbook web sites or on any of the UP Yearbook CD's.
